Tour Itinerary

  • 1.

    1-Day Algonquin Park Canoe Trip

Everyone in your group will receive instruction from your guide on the canoeing fundamentals. You will enter Pen Lake, one of Algonquin Park's interior lakes, using your "Expedition weight" kevlar boats. You are free to explore the lake we are on after setting up camp with the assistance of your knowledgeable guide. Interesting huge rapids that were originally employed as log chutes may be seen on the river. Additionally, we saw more than a half dozen moose in this region over the course of two days! Moose are frequently spotted in this area grazing near the lake. Fresh culinary delights will be served for dinner, produced locally, and savoured next to a roaring campfire!

    2-Day Algonquin Park Canoe Trip

It's exploring day today. Spend the time canoeing around the lake you're on, searching for moose, or possibly making another portage and paddling up a meandering river. The South Madawaska River's calm waters make for a good canoe route if you wish to attempt another lake after a little portage. An alternative would be to canoe halfway down the lake, make a few portages, and then hike 1.7 kilometres to Welcome Lake, depending on where you set up your base camp.

    3-Day Algonquin Park Canoe Trip

You break camp, load the canoes, and begin the paddle back to shore after an early morning breakfast. You'll pass by some pictographs painted by Native Americans centuries ago as you travel.
